Floodlight Cam E340 requires a microSD card (up to 128GB) or connection to HomeBase™ Professional S1 to enable continuous recording.
2. Is Floodlight Cam E340 wireless? How do I install it?
Floodlight Cam E340 requires hardwired installation with AC 100V - 240V. It must be mounted on a wall or under a cornice with a UL-listed junction box.
Check local* laws before installation. If you are outside of North America, installation and wiring must be performed by a licensed electrician.
3. How many days of recordings from Floodlight Cam E340 can be stored on a 128 GB microSD?
This depends on the video quality settings. When continuously recording at the highest resolution, it can record up to 144 hours (6 days) of footage. You can connect your camera to HomeBase™ Professional S1 for additional storage*.
4. Is Floodlight Cam E340 compatible with HomeBase™ 3?
Yes, it is fully compatible with HomeBase™ 3.
5. Are Floodlight Cam E340's floodlight panels replaceable?
No, the floodlight panels are not replaceable. The lifespan of the lights is more than 100,000 hours.
6. How does 8× smart zoom work?
The dual cameras work together to offer 3× optical zoom and up to 8× digital zoom.
7. Does Floodlight Cam E340 support HomeKit?
No. It does support Smart Displays using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, but currently doesn’t support HomeKit. Google Home is also not supported.
8. What is AI tracking and how does it work?
AI tracking adjusts the position of the camera to keep a target within the field of view, clearly and completely capturig entire events.
9. Does Floodlight Cam E340 support 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
Yes, Floodlight Cam E340 supports Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 for faster and more stable connectivity, and WPA3 encryption for added security. You can select 5 GHz for faster, smoother live views, or use 2.4 GHz for extended range. A Wi-Fi 6 router is recommended for optimal performance.
10. What is a preset position and what is it used for?
Preset positions are pre-set camera monitoring locations. You can set up to 4 monitoring areas in the eufy Security app, and quickly move the camera to the specified position with one click.
11. Does the eufy E340 require HomeBase™?
The eufy Floodlight Camera E340 does not strictly require a HomeBase™ to function. It can operate independently, providing flexibility for users. However, connecting it to HomeBase™ Professional S1 can enhance its functionality. For instance, using HomeBase™ allows for additional features like local video storage, improved connectivity, and integration with other eufy security devices

It comes with 32 GB eMMC built-in (6 GB for firmware, 26 GB for storage). Storage can be expanded with a 3.5-inch hard drive (up to 16 TB).
3. What kind of hard drive can I install on HomeBase Pro?
Type: Hard disk drive (HDD) or solid-state drive (SSD) that use the SATA interface.
Capacity: Up to 16 TB.
Recommended: Surveillance Hard Drive from Western Digital or Seagate.
Additional 2.5 to 3.5 hard drive adapter(B0D1TRQDZF) needed if use SSD
4. How does 4G work on my HomeBase Pro?
The 4G Cellular Backup Service includes 400 MB of free data upon activation of HomeBase Professional S1. After depletion, continued use requires additional data purchases; otherwise, the SIM card will be suspended, disabling Internet access.
5. What is the difference between HomeBase Professional and HomeBase 3?
HomeBase Pro supports PoE cameras, HDMI, 3.5 HDD, 4G LTE, 96Wh battery, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC, 6 TOPS NPU, smart AI search,24 hr backup during outages, and an AI card slot. HomeBase 3 does not support these features.
6. Is HomeBase Professional S1 compatible with my existing devices?
